I've just spent the morning reading a lot of the memories that have been posted here. I had some great times on the Long Beach and will always remember them. I made the first three westpac cruises. While reading these memories, I see names of shipmates I know and knew. I also see names that are all new to me. What I mean is that there is a USS Long Beach CGN9 Association INC. There is a reunion every year at a different location in the country. The names I know are those that have attended a reunion, the names I knew were from the time that I was on the LB. The new names of course haven't become a member of the Association or attended a reunion. I invite everyone here to join the Association and become a part of the living history of the Long Beach.
