In March of 1984 I was waiting to join the ship in Seoul, Korea. I remember that on the 15th of March I took a launch out to meet the ship in Inchon Harbor. It was a very foggy day and I could not make out the ship until we were almost on top of her. Seeing the Grey Lady for the first time I remember my pulse quickening and the excitement of seeing "my" ship for the first time. There are not to many firsts that I remember in life, but that is one that I will remember my entire life. She was my first ship and she will sadly missed.
