Long Beach was not only my hometown, but my first USN ship! :) We even made a port visit to Long Beach California in 1984 or so! :) I remember a few shipmates, namely the BEST BM1 in the world, BM1 Broude, our LPO in 3rd Div, Man what a leader! I also remember a sonar tech 1st class, phillips (STG1), another stellar leader! He and I shared many conversations on the decks of LB! We had an excellent crew back then, and we were tight knit, more or less ;)

There were MANY good memories aboard LB, I will ALWAYS cherish them! I am married now, and living in the NW if anyone happens to see this :) Just do a search for soapintrucker on the net to find me! :)
