I worked and stayed in the same compartment with the "Indian". His name was Condem as I recall. I knew him fairly well. We worked in SFOMS together. He could be different, but so can we all.
I knew Kokuros as well. "Stinky" "Bull leading seaman" for the 3rd fleet, seen the mess during investigation.
Kukuros had been stabbed a few times with a large marlin spike and then his head was kicked under a bookshelf in the crew's lounge, lots of blood and... who know why? I think condem was drunk. This is what I got from Stinky.
Condem did go to Treasure Island. I talked to a guy that met him there in the brig. He spent time there, BUT, as I was told he did no time in the pen... but rather went back to the dakotas... So, Kukuras was murdered and buried and condem was in the brig then out of the NAV... The NIS found blood, towels, evidence, all related to the killing, in the space where condem worked, but I hear they could make no absolute connection. Sounds like NIS, huh?
