Incident at sea with the Russian Navy: A Russian cruiser broke our formation by sailing right through our formation. We retaliated with sonic booms over the Russian ship at night. Became a newsworthy incident on US television and our morning newsletter.
Crossing Equator.
Received heavy pounding returning (via North Atlantic) to Norfolk. Green water over bow damaged Terrier missile blast doors.
