I am the son of Rodney Bell who served on the USS Long Beach when she was stationed in Newport Rhode Island. My father was a Plankowner. He passed away in 1989. I've since retired from the NAVY and I would like commemorate his service on this proud ship. I remember as a child going aboard and interacting with the crew. It shaped my future to serve in the greatest NAVY on this earth.
